Browser choice is weirdly personal and people have strong opinions. Curious what people here are running.

My current setup: Firefox as primary.

I switched back from Chrome a couple of years ago mainly for privacy reasons - Firefox's default tracking protection is genuinely better and it's not made by an advertising company. Performance has also improved a lot; the gap with Chrome is small enough that it's not a practical concern.

Extensions I actually use:

• uBlock Origin - non-negotiable. Blocks ads and trackers at the network level. The difference in page load speed and bandwidth usage is significant. Run in advanced mode for more control.
  
• Bitwarden - password manager browser extension. Auto-fills, generates passwords, works across devices.
  
• Vimium - keyboard navigation for the browser. Once it clicks you can't go back to clicking links.
  
• Dark Reader - forces dark mode on sites that don't have it. Eyes thank me.
  
• SponsorBlock - skip sponsored segments in YouTube videos automatically. Crowd-sourced timestamps, works remarkably well.
  

Why not Chrome: Manifest V3 significantly weakened extension capabilities, particularly ad blockers. uBlock Origin in Chrome is less effective than in Firefox now. That tipped me over.

Why not Brave: Chromium-based (same extension ecosystem concerns), plus the embedded crypto stuff I have no use for.
