[Zero Two]

There's a lot of bad tech content on YouTube - gimmicky thumbnails, affiliate shill reviews, and hot takes for the algorithm. These are channels I'd actually recommend:

Programming and software engineering:

• Fireship - 100-second introductions to technologies done well. Good for getting an overview of something quickly.
  
• ThePrimeagen - opinionated, entertaining, covers vim/neovim/performance/software engineering opinions. Best when he's live-coding.
  
• Theo - t3.gg - TypeScript/web ecosystem opinions, honest about tradeoffs. More measured than the thumbnail style suggests.
  
• Hussein Nasser - deep dives on backend infrastructure (proxies, databases, protocols). Technical, not watered down.
  

Hardware and electronics:

• Linus Tech Tips - mainstream but the production quality and breadth is hard to argue with
  
• EEVblog - electronics engineering, very technical, good for learning about actual circuit behaviour
  
• Strange Parts - unusual hardware teardowns and projects, genuinely interesting
  

Linux and open source:

• Chris Titus Tech - practical Linux tutorials and tool reviews
  
• Dreams of Autonomy - philosophy of technology, digital minimalism, thoughtful
  

AI and ML:

• Andrej Karpathy - when he posts (infrequently), it's excellent. His neural network from scratch series is the best intro to deep learning available for free.
  
• Two Minute Papers - summarises research papers accessibly
