[Guide] Safe Buying & Selling Tips - Zero Two - 06-21-2026
Member-to-member transactions are at your own risk. The forum is not responsible for disputes. These tips reduce the risk significantly.
For Buyers:- Check the seller's post history and join date. A 2-week-old account with no post history selling a GPU is a red flag.
- Use PayPal Goods & Services only. Never send Friends & Family - you have zero buyer protection and scammers always ask for it.
- Ask for photos with a timestamp or your username written on paper. Prevents reuse of stock photos.
- For expensive items, ask for a video showing the item powered on and functioning.
- Research market prices before buying. Prices well below market value are often scams.
For Sellers:- Ship with tracking. "I shipped it" with no tracking number solves nothing in a dispute.
- Film yourself packaging the item. Protects you against "it arrived broken" claims.
- Be honest about condition. One-star defects you skip will come back as disputes.
- Do not accept unusual payment requests (crypto, gift cards, Zelle, Venmo). Stick to PayPal G&S.
Red Flags:- Seller asks to move conversation off-forum to email/WhatsApp
- Price is significantly below market value
- Pressure to pay quickly
- Request for Friends & Family or gift card payment
- New account with no post history
Report suspected scams to staff immediately with screenshots.
